boards start first time without restarts = excellent ram had to be in black slots to boot...is this normal? chipset appears very warm...i cooled it actively for my own comfort buttons on board and bios button on panel = excellent reset button does not function battery needs to be removed from under the VGA's socket area very nice and clean for insulating...a few more tall solid capacitors should be changed to the small flat ones if possible. pci-e socket clips make vga removal difficult pushpins for board heatsinks should be bolts heatpipes should be dropped in favour of more surface area on the heatsinks board lighting pleasant in green and blue....ability to disable them is great too ieee1394 and usb headers at the bottom of the board should also be colour coded 2x removable bios chips would be better than a soldered chip to reduce rma's NB area should have 4 mounting holes socket 775 dimention mounting holes should ideally be provided too 1st and 2nd pci-e slot could move 1 position upward to create more space between vgas memory slots clear the vga nicely in the current design check winxp installation possible as my install failed i used a pre-installed winXP to bypass this issue HW monitor should include all primary voltage reading like vcore, vdimm, chipset and anything else available. m-flash is a great concept but i flashed with afu flash utily as mentioned on the website board wouldn't boot off usb...needs to be checked bootable usb stick could be included in the package...even a very small one like 32mb ctrl+F1 keys pressed together should be bios default and start the board explain overspeed protection in the bios next to the setting in green power menu all items should have explanatory text...this is very nice for overclockers i7-965 extreme is still locked to 24x multiplier for maximum...this should be much higher. spread spectrum should maybe be disabled by default unless it improves overclockinguncore and qpi speed could maybe be listed in the POST where is the uncore clock setting? cpu vcore jumped upwards by 0.2 on a crash from windows caused reboot. also 166bclk was set on the same crash...this means the machine tried to post at 4ghz and 1.4vcore after crashing out from windows xp memory CAS reads 1 above bios setting bios should list voltages requested rather than +0.10 etcetera no tri-sli bridge in package for running 3x 280GTX nvidia vgas DLED is awsome...the best in the business...looking foreward to temperature display or voltages...etc. Timout for board to reset when failing to post could be reduced. bios could recover after first failed post real vdimm is measured slightly below bios setting real vcore doesn't fluctuate much and no vdroop = great!
